Summary
Offering to pay a £100 security for the debts of Monsieur Le Texier who is currently in the New Prison at Southwark; expressing his concern about whether his being in prison would "...secure him against his other Creditors...;" asking if he would make inquiries about Le Texier's "true situation"; adding that he "...cannot by any means give a boundless security; nor will I give a fruitless one. If my concurrence as far as 100£ for my part to secure him the Rules will do, I shall beg you to prepare the proper steps for that purpose, but it must be properly caution'd that I may not be liable farther than I intend."
