Summary
Saying that he cannot send "a good autograph of [Henry Francis] Cary's without sacrilege against his relics - mutilating his precious letters"; sending instead one imperfect autograph on the back of an invitation and two autographs and a letter by Allan Cunningham (no longer with this letter); at Cope's request, suggesting as a potential subject for a picture "Edward the First about to Command the Slaughter of a Welsh Bard - and withheld by his beautiful Queen, Elinor;" describing the picture as he imagines it appearing.
