Summary
Concerning the need for provisions for the officers in the Massachusetts Line who are in Providence; saying "The distress in this place is beyond description for the want of [illegible] as well as the want of Provision, But I hope with the Blessing of God on our exertions that none will perish;" asking to see "Resolves of the Council of War...respecting plundering destroying buildings; granting, in a postscript, permission for him to "draw your back allowance of Rum at Providence As I am confident you will draw no more than your due; adding that he has given orders "to leave this Town Immediately."
