Notes
Enclosing a copy of his poem "The Painted Cup," noting that Keese's letter inspired Bryant to write it. Mentioning that Bryant has a rule "to contribute nothing to Annuals and publications of that kind," but on remembering "how obliging" Keese was to him recently, he feels obliged to make an exception.
