Saying that he is happy to hear that Granger has received so many valuable additions to his Biographical History of England, but he believes that a supplement would be "highly injurious to me, as it would prevent my printing a correct & improved Edition of the work in Octavo;" arguing that this would not be a fair return for Davies's generous behavior; discussing the expectations of the purchasers of the first edition; adding "Lord Bolingbroke's Dissertation with his life, shall be left at Mr [Alder?]'s in boards as soon as published;" thanking Granger for inquiring after his niece's health and saying that she has been drinking a small galss of red wine every morning, "which has been of great service to her;" discussing a visit around Easter.
