Saying that he has received a letter with the news that his correspondent has been sent a draft by Fairburn or John Dingwall for £50 payable the first of August; emphasizing how greatly the money is needed: "this money I should have had at Martinmass ; I hope Mr Dingwall will be puntuall [sic] in the payment, I am in extream [sic] want of it : what you sent me last, is all Expended;" sending compliments to Mrs. Urquhart.
