Summary
Asking for suggestions, on behalf of his daughter, the Marchioness of Bute, for places she and Lord Bute might go for a warmer climate in the winter; saying his daughter "...has laboured under a complaint that has rendered a warmer climate than England adviseable, but she has always been met with such difficulty annex'd to every place, that she has contented herself with The West of England the two last Winters & for the present she has confined herself at a very well sheltered residence of Lord Bute's at Petersham immediately under Richmond Hill - She & Lord Bute wish much for information respecting the various places resorted to by English people viz: Madeira - Gibraltar - Lisbon - parts of Spain - Malta & particularly Sicily to which last they have been very much press'd to go;" encouraging him to call on Lord & Lady Bute at Petersham and apologizing for troubling him with this request.
