Summary
Congratulating her on her performance the previous evening; saying "I hope you quite realise the very great success you were last night. Neither here nor in America is there any woman who could have approached you in the part. All the luxuriousness, all the splendour, all the grace of the gorgeous [illegible] were there, not only to the eye, but to the ear, and to the intelligence. In short you were perfectly the awful woman, & so it was a deeply impressive performance."
