Summary
Saying "It seems to me years of years since I have heard anything of you. I can't let another year end without sending you a line to ask how you are. I assume that you have not been in London for very long because surely you would have written to let me know in that case. We are going along here...I am continuing to interest myself in many ways, which keeps me fairly well occupied : and though I have had some incidents and some illnesses during the last 2-3 years, which have more or less laid me up I have managed to get through them without serious damage remaining. Do, my dear Anna, contrive to send me some news of yourself as soon as possible. One can't forget the happy days one his passed : and this time of year, (not because it's Xmas) for me wakens up such memories very acutely."
