On the publication of a collection of the works of Mr. Foote; saying "Having long proposed a collection of Foote's Works, a considerable part of which are my exclusive property, but being very unwilling to undertake any thing that might appear unhandsome to a Trade to [illegible] I have ever wished to be a friend, I beg to know whether you are inclined to contribute your legal shares, or shares held by courtesy, in those pieces published by your family. A speedy answer will much oblige."
