Summary
Ordering seed wheat; specifying that he would like "Ten Quarters of the very finest wheat of the year whether white or Red wheat ; but the very first that shall appear on your market;" describing how and where it should be shipped; saying that he hopes it will reach him more quickly this year than his order fared last year, "when the Vessel that brought it was unluckily chased into some Port by the way;" adding that the prices their corn broker has charged for the last two years have far exceeded the prices quoted on Mark Lane (the location of the Corn Exchange) and in the newspapers.
