Summary
Discussing a vacancy at Bishop's Castle and the possibility of his nephew [Charles Walcot] assuming the seat or supporting another candidate; saying "...I told you and Mr. Cust that I had wrote to him to come to town, and I have a letter from him, that acquaints me he sets out this week for Oxford. Lord Sandwich's letter only mentions a caution to me not to mention Lord [illegible]'s name, and does not mention my recomending Mr. Waring, his Lordship must know; that is impossible, as I am acquainted with no one person at Bishop Castle; and I am sure he would not desire me to persuade my nephew to recomend Mr. Waring after what has passed."
