Summary
Saying that he only learned on Saturday that Harrison had "practically all the MS except the few end-pages which I am sending you here;" apologizing for the delay, but saying that he doesn't expect it will affect the date of Harrison's decision, since he has had the bulk of the work: "I regret you had the roughest copy. It could not be helped as the revised one had to go to the N. Y. Herald at once;" requesting that Harrison inform him of his decision before the holidays and return the manuscript, either to himself or to James Brand Pinker's office in London, if he does not accept it for the English Review.
