Summary
Informing him that he is owed $4 for his "attendance as one of the Electors of President & Vice President of the United States;" asking if he would draw an order for it at his earliest convenience. Gerry's reply, on the verso, says had a severe "inflammation in my eyes" and mislaid his letter of March 22; saying it was his wish not to be included in the roll to be paid but if it was necessary to balance his accounts he should pay the bearer of the letter and if not he should cancel the obligation.
