It is likely this letter was written to J.T. Knowles, Editor of the Contemporary Review from 1870 - 1877.
Summary
Enclosing a paper on "...the Inspiration of Scripture...written a month or two ago on a B.D. exercise at Cambridge. It has not been published & has only been seen by the 'Professor' & three or four friends...They have so strongly urged me to publish it that I venture to ask whether you w'd find a place for it in the Contemporary Review;" adding, in a postscript, "I presume that if you accept it I s'd receive for it the ordinary remuneration."
