Summary
Passing along a message to "my Lord" about a Mr. Clayton, who is now in Bath and expected in London any day; saying that Clayton came over from Paris; asking Eyre to let his Lordship know that "I Can Give him in a A List of 20 or 30 p[er]sons that frequent Pall mall Coffee house and is Ready for ye [Cause?]; discussing different parties and their opinions: "Some are for Goeing as it were for Ireland [...] others by way of Disguise in Colliers Ships;" asking Eyre to assure his Lordship that "Im Soe Farr in ye Secrett that ye first Designe Shall be Stopt;" saying that all coaches that go via Chester should be carefully examined, particularly those of "p[er]sons that Goe under ye pretence of halfe pay officers" as this is how a group of men ("Capt. Fitzgerald Capt. Butler & Capt Obrien") traveled from Oxford to Bath; adding that he hears Eyre will be leaving for Ireland tomorrow and saying that he would be happy to continue their correspondence; assuring his Lordship of his gratitude and saying that he will "Doe all that Lyes in my Power to Serve his Majesty;" giving the address where he is staying if his Lordship should need him tomorrow morning.
