Concerning a memorial to her late husband; saying "We feel sure that you will be interested to know that it is our intention to try and perpetuate, in his native city, the memory of your husband. The circular which I enclose herewith will give you an idea of the form the memorial will take, and we trust that it will meet with your approval. Mr. Charles Whibley has kindly offered his assistance and general support. I hope, on some future occasion, to be able to inform you that our efforts have met with success."
