Autograph letter signed : Valladolid, to the government of Florence which he was serving as ambassador, 1513 Sept. 21.

He reports on the news of the "Battle of the Spurs," the taking of Térouanne, and the capture of the Duke of Longueville and the Chevalier Bayard by the English; the unsuccessful descent of the King of Scotland into England, etc. A paragraqph, originally in cipher, subsequently written out in full, deals with the sending to Rome of funds needed by the Spanish King. He ends with an appeal for relief from his post and return to Italy.
