Summary
Saying he has found him a vacancy with Alfred Bailey; saying "I have seen my friend Alfred Bailey. He will have a vacancy & will be very happy to have you as a pupil in October. As he points out his business is not exclusively conveyancing. But it almost entirely concerns real property. Almost the whole of the Duke of Portland's law business passes through his hands. He is a thorough lawyer, & you will not fail to like him personally. I will find an opportunity of introducing you shortly, that is if you have made up your mind to read with him."
