Summary
Asking for his help in getting Americans to attend his lecture the following week; saying "I am very anxious that my lecture at St. James' Hall should be a success next Wednesday. I want a good attendance of Americans to see the exhibition of good-will which I know will be made. Can you aid me in making it known - or by sending me the addresses of some Americans who might take tickets for themselves & friends? Mr. Bright will take the chair at 8 in S. James' Hall. I shall deliver - in substance (but with additions &c relating to the Alabama) the lecture I delivered in Washington before Grant, Chase & most members of Congress."
