Summary
Informing him that he will soon need "the Rudder Irons for my Ship" and asks that they be sent "down by the first Vessel that comes to James River. I suppose by this time your stupid act of assembly must be repeal'd or will soon be so, but for fear this should not be the case I send enclosed a letter to Gov'r Johnson on the subject who I hope will grant permission for them and the Iron in the Hands of Mr. Levy to be sent me as the act certainly never could intend to stop those Commodities that are bo't for our own use and not to be Sold again;" adding that he also needs two large Salt Pans and provides the dimensions for them; discussing payment for the items.
