Thanking him for "...the trouble you are so good to take once more at my Recommendation on the Behalf of poor Gregg, but still more particularly for the pleasing expressions of Friendship and affection towards me which are diffused through your whole Letter. Believe me Sir, it shall be an Impediment still more severe than that which kept me from you last year, that shall prevent me from paying my Respects at Wotton this ensuing Summer for I cannot but feel true Delight from so hearty an Invitation. My Health I thank God mends daily by the use of the cold Bath and riding on Horseback, and as the Season advances, and the weather grows more favourable for that exercise, I hope to receive additional Benefit. My Wife desires you to accept her Compliments as do I that my best Respects may find admittance with Mrs. Grenville."
