Concerning her inability to pay for the portrait of her daughter; saying "...Miss Hannay's portrait, which Lady Hannay is ashamed to confess has already been too long undescharged, but from many untoward events, Lady H. has not had it in her power, & she must still trespass further on Mr. Romney's patience, as at present Lady H. cannot command so much cash, but in a short time, she hopes it will be in her power to send Mr. Romney the money he is so well intitled to."
