Nichols, 1779-1781); later editions issued under the title Lives of the English poets and The lives of the most eminent English poets. Cf. Roger Lonsdale, Introduction and Notes in Samuel Johnson's Lives of the Poets, volume 1. Oxford : Clarendon Press, 2006.
