Salimberi; mentioning various issues discussed in the House of Representatives; telling her, "I am made happy by a letter from Mr. Eppes, rec[eived]d two or three days ago & informing me that Maria was become a mother & was well"; expressing his wish to see Martha and Maria; listing various deaths, including Governor [Edward] Rutledge of South Carolina and Governor [Thomas] Mifflin of Pennsylvania; noting that there is also a rumor of the death of George III; commenting on the failure of "the great & antient [sic] house of Cuningham & Nesbitt."
