Requesting changes to the stage prior to her reading; asking that the "...looking glass behind my reading table [be] covered - as the reflection of the chandelier & lights in it produces a painful effect upon the eyes of the audience of which there has been a complaint;" asking additionally that it not be a thick fabric which would absorb the sound.
