Summary
Introducing Miss Dolly Elbeck who has come with a petition "to solicit mercy in behalf of an unfortunate Brother. The Petition which Miss Dolly will present, will explain the Nature of the Affair. I most sincerely pity the old Gentleman and his Wife (the parents of the young Man) and feel much for the Ladies who are related to & connected with the Family; whose Lives and Character, as far as I know them, have been without Reproach. Your Civilities to miss Dolly will confer a Singular favour on me : And if you can consistently extend the Mercy solicited on behalf [of] the unfortunate Young Man you will add infinitely to the Obligation."
