Summary
Responding to the article sent that was in the Washington Chronicle, Governor Johnson says "I do not wish to be involved in any controversy" involving General Rosecrans and Truesdail Chief of the Army Police in the Dept. of the Cumberland; stating that Truesdail is "a base & unmitigated Jesuetical parasite;" saying the convicts held in jails are better men than Truesdail.
