Summary
Asking him not to send his "valuable MS to me at present - I leave London tomorrow morning for the Continent, and am so anxious to avoid all theatrical matters during my short vacation, that I do not intend to leave my address thus avoiding the possibility of even a letter being forwarded - Some mistake or accident might occur to your MS if sent to Hyde Park St. during my absence. I may as well remark that having only two seasons more of management my arrangements are all made for the time and I [illegible] the possibility of my producing any new play - The pieces for next season are now in preparation, and during the last year I shall only revive my successes of the past. We re-open the Princess with the Tempest on the 12th October & till then goodbye."
