Henley has titled the poem "I / Nous n'irons plus au bois."
Henley has written what may have been the start to an additional stanza or an alternate version of the second to last line of the final stanza. It reads "Tho', dead the mystic charm they wore" and in addition Henley wrote "secret grace" above "mystic charm."
