This typescript is part of a collection of forty-nine letters from Henley to Lord Windsor written between March 1895 and June 1903 (MA 1617.502 - MA 1617.550).
Place of writing derived from a letter from Henley to Charles Whibley, also written on Christmas Day 1899 and written from St. George's Lodge, Worthing.
Henley has typed his name but has not signed his name. His autograph is the date "Christmas Day, 1899."
Housed with a second typescript of the poem, also with the date in autograph as "Christmas Day, 1899."
