Acknowledging the receipt of Adamo; saying "Lest you should be anxious for the safety of the valuable little Traveller, whom you have so kindly dispatched to me, I hasten to say, that the welcome Adamo from St. Valerie has this instant entered my apartment, & He comes indeed bien apropos, as our Printer may have occasion for his correcting powers in the course of the very next week. My dear domestic assistant is revising the press & this moment closed her revision of some pages of dear Cowper commentary - The commentary will close our second volume, & the third will begin with Adamo. May such seasonable success ever attend you in all your kind offices of Benevolence!"
