Summary
Saying she will not forget the Henleys on the 22nd and is sorry she cannot deliver her good wishes in person; relating the details of their trip which will take them through the Suez Canal and saying that her husband [Henry Head, 1835-1905) has been suffering from a bad attack of gout; adding that she has been reading "... a good many books - amongst others 'The little white bird' - Sybil Carlisle gave it me - I much enjoy David & Porthos & Mary, but the stories told are almost too indefinite for children to enjoy, & not funny enough for 'grownups' but I only write as the book strikes, I like it, & I have enjoyed reading it;" commenting on the people traveling with them and concluding "I do hope your new flat will suit you in every way - I envy you in London, now it is awakening there is no pleasanter place than London in the early Spring;"
