Summary
Requesting the return of any letters he wrote to Miss Seward; saying "You will oblige me very much by returning whatever compositions you find of mine (whether prose or verse) to me - my lively Friend once told me as a compliment, but I hope in Jest, that she would direct my Letters to be printed after her decease for their Merits but I should be very sorry to see them so published - Indeed if they were in the press I am inform'd that I could legally prevent their publication - but I would rather obtain my wish on the subject from yr kindness, Sir, than from any hostile process."
