Summary
Thanking him for the gift of a turkey; saying he has received Mr. [Edmund] Burke's 16 Charges of Impeachment and is writing his defense of each charge; adding that it took him 30 sheets of paper to write the defense of the first charge, "which multiplied by 16, if the others require as voluminous a Discussion, will make the Sum of the whole 480 sheets: So you see I am no more likely to get fat in England than I was in India when you recommended to me the Example & sober Conduct of my Rabbits, that neither went to Council, nor did Business on Sunday."
