Reporting that they have to stay in Turin because their carriage is broken; explaining that the "voiturier" had the carriage "drag'd up [Mount Cenis] by 12 Men, & it is a great Miracle that it was not dash'd into ten thousand pieces"; commenting on "two London Chronicles in which they have abus'd [him] most clumsily"; describing the theater in Turin; noting that the "nastiness in the Inns, the peculiarity of nastiness, is ... much above conception": "I have taken some Memorandums of things which I have seen with my own Eyes, that exceed all belief"; telling him that his wife was very ill but is "now well & herself again."
