Summary
Requesting that his name not be confused with that of Douglas Goldring; saying "In your 'Round the Town' notes of 7th May you do me the kindness of referring to myself and my forthcoming book. But may I protest that my name is not Douglas Golding any more than the name of a more experienced novelist is Louis Goldring. If you could find space to mention the fact, I am sure we should both be respectively gratified. Mr. Goldring must be tired of receiving from his press-agents the abuse for my books as I am jealous of the praise I receive of his."
