With a letter from his uncle, Dr. Maxwell Garthshore, written on the verso of Dr. Gordon's letter, to an unidentified recipient, but most likely to a Mr. Moore to whom Dr. Gordon refers in his letter to Dr. Garthshore.

Concerning his appeal for a pension; writing to his uncle and asking for his assistance; informing him that he has just delivered to Sir James Pulteney a letter from the Duke of Kent (MA 1266.52) urging that Dr. Gordon be granted a pension.
