Summary
Concerning his Hogarth prints; saying "You will make my Compliments to Mr. Stevens & inform him that he ought to have known my Sentiments about the few prints I have of Hogarth from the result of the Visit he favored me with last Summer for that purpose. I desire no Equivalent for anything which I am inclined to part with to my literary friends. - But I never have imagined that perhaps the only book in Mr. Cole's Library in which I c'd be suppos'd to have any interest sh'd have been monopolized by one of them to be offered to me as an Equivalent for anything in my power to give."
