Summary
Concerning his design for a cross to be erected at Brighton; saying "With regard to the Cross : - This went off to B'ton on Wednesday last & has arrived safely. It now awaits fixing. The cemetery people have approved the design - I sent them, at their request, a copy - & demand, before they will allow the stone to be fixed on the grave, the payment of a fee of one guinea - I enclose their letter for your inspection. I am, I regret to say, in the absurd position of not having a guinea to send them at present so I now enclose my account for the stone & the extras &, if you find it in order, and can pay me, I will then be able to put the thing through at once. I will have a photograph taken if you wish. Shall I order a Brighton photographer to do this? Meanwhile I send herewith my small original drawing."
