Informing him that due to the "very sickly State of the Detachment of the 2nd Bat'n 27th Regiment" Sir Ralph Abercromby has ordered the ship they are on to sail south to Lisbon; adding that if the men recover in good time and if the opportunity presents itself, he wishes him to have his detachment join the 27th.
