Discussing possible changes to Byron's "Address Spoken at the Opening of the Drury-Lane Theatre, October 10, 1812" which Elliston would recite and referring to Elliston's soliloquy in Hamlet; saying "I have referred to L'd Byron's copy & find it agree with my notions of what the lines ought to be;" confirming the wording in lines 52, 53 and 55 and also lines 22 and 23, and 25; concluding "But you can judge of these matters better than I can & I only suggest them for the purpose of shewing you how little fault I can find with your recital of the verses & how very anxious I am that every thing shall be done to bring out their many beauties & to hide any little incorrectness or defect."
