Requesting "you to exert your utmost influence to prevail upon the people to enroll themselves in Companies, Secondly to attend to the preservation of what little Gunpowder remains amongst them - & to rest assured that no terms will be obtained from Lord North but which are purchased at the point of the Sword; asking him to forward this letter to Mrs. Hooper so that she knows he is in Philadelphia.
