Summary
Concerning a Mr. Cooper, printer to the theatre; saying "You have probably heard of his being sentenced to Imprisonment & the PIllory, for an unlucky Paragraph which appeared in the London Courant, while he was the Printer of that Paper, but lay dangerously ill at the Time it was sent. He flatters himself that you can, & will interest yourself in his Behalf. - He & his wife are very very deserving indeed. Will you forgive my interfering in that Matter? I have known them many years. - Every Syllable asserted in the short Memorial he troubles you with is Fact. - The honest Endeavours of an industrious Couple are likely to be utterly defeated, & total Ruin must be the Consequence, if they cannot find a friend to serve them. I will not detain you longer - I leave the Case to your Consideration; You will, I am sure, excuse the Liberty I take in recommending them to your Protection, especially when I assure you that every Good which can befal them will be a Delight & Obligation to, Dear Sir, your very obedient humble Servant..."
