Summary
Concerning a play she wrote which she would like to see produced; thanking him for his compliments on her two-act dramatic piece and expressing "...at the same time my confidence, that in accepting it, you meant me to reap all those advantages common to an author - yet, I have some reason to apprehend, that my desire to have, as usual, the sixth night or an adequate compensation, is the cause why the piece has been thus long delayed by Mr. Kemble. As I am convinced no one will give me a decisive answer upon this occasion without your injunctions, I trust this will be an apology for my entreating you to relieve me from the inconveniences attending a suspense of this nature and permit me to be informed explicitly of your intentions."
