Summary
Referring to Walt Whitman, stating that he is "a true poet ... in the rough" who possess the "right elementary universality" but that "for want of discipline" has a "chance of chaotically going out." Asking Ollier to send some verses for Colonel Thomas when he sends Hunt a copy of Clytemnestra, and stating that he will be unable to send off his packet until the following Friday. Noting that he and Mrs. Hunt are afflicted with boils.
