Wishing him a very happy Christmas, and asking for the return of one verse of a song; saying "I write only to wish you a very happy Christmas and also to say that my sister having mislaid the rough copy of that song wants to have the one verse she sent back again, that she may add the other, which is the rest of the poem - if you will be so kind; but I feel that it is a foolish request to be making."
