19th-century (Netherlandish or German?) dark-brown blind-tooled goatskin over wooden boards (26 x 20.5 cm), sewn on 4 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves with plain paper endleaves; decorative endbands; red edges.

Hand decoration: Contemporary Netherlandish rubrication, red initials, wedge- and C-shaped paragraph marks, capital strokes, and underlining. Woodcuts colored by hand. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. A few folio numbers added to register.
