19th-century English gilt- and blind-stamped full brown goatskin over boards (34 x 24 cm), sewn on 6 supports by Francis Bedford. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves with plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Rubrication unrealized (but manuscript guide letters); few initials added later. Annotations: Sporadic contemporary marginal and interlinear notations in several Italian hands. Modern ink foliation.
