18th-century French mottled calf over paper boards (33 x 24 cm), sewn on 5 supports; repaired by Duprez Lahey. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves; red edges.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials. Annotations: Marginal notes on leaf a2r: "Ce livre est dedie et adressant au Roy de France Charles Ve dict le sage," 15th/16th century and late 16th/17th-century inscription attributing authorship to Charles de Louvieres (see Pike, "St. Thomas Aquinas and the 'Songe du Vergier'," Speculum 14.4 (1939): 492). No marginal notations in remainder of text.
